These companies have pledged to donate 1% of their profits (or more) to Fredericks Foundation. Their philanthropy extends to individual employee support and many have also been able to help us with donations of hardware or software, office space for our clients and support for our fundraising events. We team up to organise ‘inspirational challenges and events’ in support of our ideals.

Purpose Software is a new company, formed to bring together Commonsense Business Systems Limited and Compaddress Limited.  Commonsense is the UK’s leading provider of billing and service software to the Photocopier Dealer market and Compaddress is a long-established provider of software solutions to the field service sector.

In bringing the two companies together Purpose Software is able to capitalize on their mutual strengths.  Commonsense has a very strong reputation for client support and implementation; Compaddress brings a newly developed product along with enhanced Sales and Marketing skills.

Purpose Software is based in High Wycombe, has a staff of 22 and has target figures for its first year of £1.5m turnover and £100k EBIT.

We solve a deeply entrenched problem in the labour market.  13.7m people in the UK want “bits of work” around other commitments in their life.  They can’t hold down a conventional job, however flexible.  22% of employers need top-up workers they can turn on and off hour-by-hour as required.  We invented – and own – the sophisticated technology that makes “bits of work” safe, cost effective, instant and enticing.  This technology is unique in the world – we have companies funding a launch in the US and Canada.  Our software is being aggressively protected.  In the UK we have turned £0.5m of investment into £0.5 of revenue from our biggest customer – the government.  We now have 12 launch sites around the UK where a company or council is funding a launch of our service and ensuring critical mass is in place.  Our revenue comes from a cut of each transaction.

Incorporated in September 2000 as Force-techie Limited and resulting from an ongoing and recent re-branding initiative, we have changed our trading name to Cetec-ISC Limited, to be known as Cetec.

Cetec is a managed (ICT) engineering services and consultancy practice.  We integrate a comprehensive range of specialist services, from consultancy on mass deployment strategy and master plans, through to field services and operational process engineering for complex refresh projects. For instance Cetec installed all the services for Sainsburys when they set up chip and pin. We provide lifecycle IMACD off-site and on-site field engineering, mass and non-mass productized services and asset management.  Dedicated IT logistics and warehousing are also integrated.  In addition we offer our client sales support and specialist and productionised SOR tools to expedite time to market for competitive advantage.

Tactica Premium Finance Ltd offers a comprehensive premium finance service to medium and large insurance brokers, premium finance being the easy way for their clients to pay for insurance (it’s a loan facility that allows policyholders to pay by instalments and we manage it as a service to brokers).  It is a new venture, born out of the need for something radical and fresh in this industry, but with the distinct advantage of market experience, industry knowledge, established partnerships, initial funding, and above all a core team of motivated, experienced personnel. 

Traditional premium finance results in brokers outsourcing this function to third parties with the associated loss of revenue, control and flexibility.  In contrast the Tactica service puts the broker back in control and enables them to establish their own branded premium financing facility/company and provides everything required to finance insurance premiums and addresses all the business processes associated with this.  Tactica now has a number of brokers up and running and generating revenue, and is ready to drive forward to become a significant force in the Premium Finance marketplace and reward the confidence of its investors.
